Medication Refill Policies

FOR MEDICATION REFILLS:

For non-schedule "ordinary" medications, please contact the pharmacy and they will fax a request to us.  If you have required a dosage adjustment since your last appointment, do provide the pharmacist with the information about your current dosage.  Allow 24-48 hours for refills to be completed.

For written prescriptions to mail away, please schedule an appointment to review the long-term medications needed.

For schedule medications, which are restricted by law, you must be seen for an appointment in order for us to provide your prescription.  This includes medication used to treat chronic pain and attention deficit disorder.  Please plan your appointment ONE WEEK in advance of needing your new prescription. THE ON CALL PHYSICIAN CANNOT PROVIDE THESE MEDICATIONS.

IT IS WISE TO ALWAYS SCHEDULE YOUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT BEFORE LEAVING THE OFFICE TO AVOID RUNNING OUT OF IMPORTANT MEDICATIONS.
